Ladies of Horror Fiction Readathon Prompts

As part of their 2 year anniversary celebration, Ladies of Horror Fiction is hosting a readathon this month. It’s already partway through (sorry!), but it runs from September 1st through the 15th, so there’s still plenty of time to join in if you’d like to! You can check out their post here – they have plenty of fun stuff going on in addition to this readathon. Read on to see the prompts and how I plan to meet them.

These are the Prompts:

  • Been On Your TBR Forever
  • Indie Press/Author
  • Something Short
  • Book With a Fabulous Title

Check out my picks:

But this thing is less than half over, and I already need to pull out some extras! You may notice I have 5 books already for the 4 prompts, so clearly this is a thing I’ve already been doing anyway. I have a few more coming up from the TBR jar this month, so I might just move some of those into this pile instead. We’ll just have to wait and see!

And of course, I will be reviewing all of these books as soon as I have an opening in the blog schedule, so you’ll hear my thoughts on all of them soon enough.

Are you participating in the readathon? If so, what are you reading?

Once the readathon wraps up on the 15th, I’m moving right in to reading for National Hispanic Heritage Month! I’m going to try to stick with a #FrightGirlAutumn theme right off, but as I continue (National Hispanic Heritage Month runs September 15 – October 15), I may throw in some male authors as well since I have a few Latinx men currently sitting on my shelves (well, not literally, but you know). You won’t see that content here immediately, of course, but if you follow me on Twitter, Goodreads, The StoryGraph, and/or Instagram you’ll be able to see what I’m reading throughout.

Will you be reading anything special to mark NHHM? Let me know!
