A while back, Shout! Factory put this new edition of Big Trouble in Little China up for sale in their web store. I’m a little (okay, a lot) obsessed with this movie, so I knew it had to be mine. And if it has to be yours as well, you’re in luck – it looks like they still have some here.
I got mine on sale, so you’ll be paying a bit more, but at the current rate of $71.98 (USD), honestly it’s still worth the price.
I’m going to run down what all is in here right after I make you look at a much better resolution picture so you don’t have to deal with my garbage camera resolution/total lack of photography skills.
With this bundle, you’re going to receive
Collector’s Edition 2-disc Blu-ray with slipcover
Limited Edition Steelbook 2-disc Blu-ray (yes, that’s 2 copies of the film) – this one comes in a nice box with a foiled Porkchop Express on the cover!
(ask me some day how many copies of this movie I currently own)
Exclusive 18″ x 24″ poster with Collector’s Edition artwork by Laz Marquez
28.5″ x 16.5″ lithograph of the Steelbook artwork by Nat Marsh
Jade green 7″ vinyl from Sacred Bones featuring music from the movie composed by John Carpenter and recorded By John and Cody Carpenter with Daniel Davies. Side A has the 2017 version of the theme song, and Side B has a previously unreleased recording of “The Alley War” which was recorded in 2019.
The green vinyl is a limited edition (2,500 copies), and comes in a slipcase designed by Chris Bilheimer.
Now, onto the Bonus Features (cuz if you’re like me, that’s what you’re really here for anyway)
So, for starters, both the Collector’s Edition and the Steelbook contain the same content, so no need to hang on to both if you don’t want to – maybe give one as a gift to someone you love, or sell one to someone you just like.
