My Thoughts:
I’m hopelessly addicted to Moonlight Peaks. I have just completed year one – I got married, got the farm profitable, and even did some upgrades on my house.
Here’s a quick look at some of the journey so far (different from what I’ve been sharing on Instagram!):

I love the idea of a life sim in the vein of Stardew Valley, but spooky. I really loved the idea of SV, but I found myself quickly a bit bored by it. The game itself is fun, but the cute aesthetic doesn’t really hit for me – not like this. Moonlight Peaks gives you that same feel. Only this time around you play as a vampire in a town populated almost entirely by supernaturals. And that’s just fun!You get the same thrill of fixing up decrepit crap, farming for sustenance and profit (crops are spooky too!), doing magic business, going on various quests, winning over – and even wooing some or all of the townsfolk. Don’t be like me though – don’t partner up with the entire town right before you get married. A lot of folks will avoid you like the plague for a day or two, which is annoying.
I find that the play mechanics are well thought out. Although I’ve been having some trouble with fertilizer not always wanting to place on the first try. But basic mechanics in Moonlight Peaks are just what you would expect. There’s the same fertilize/plant/water/harvest/process/sell thing most life sims incorporate into farming. There are also cute/spooky animals that you can keep – I have two draculambs (see above for example), one cowcula, two cheekens, a piggoat, a stoney (rock monster with too many googly eyes), a bumpkin (weird pumpkin monster), and a rabbicula. They all serve important purposes, and most are named after the Golden Girls.
My Thoughts:
Need to go play now. Might be obsessed. If you like life/farming sims, but want something a little spooky (but still totally cozy), I think you’re going to love Moonlight Peaks!
