I’m Still Alive

Hi everybody! I’m still alive! Do you like my Glados/Cake/Stranger Sights hodgepodge?

Sorry I’ve been away so long. I can’t believe it was November the last time I updated the site. I am trying not to be down on myself about it though, cuz frankly I’ve had a lot of shit going on.

What was:

As most of you know, we had a house fire (see here). We were unable to find another place to live that was within our price range (did you know Portland is expensive AF?). So we moved across the country back to where we were both from. Can you believe that was the more affordable option? Crazy, amirite?

What is:

Well, now we’re here, and due to the extreme generosity of friends (and my 401k), we were able to come up with the money to buy ourselves a house. It’s in an area we both like, and it’s on a double lot. Both of those things are pretty amazing. It is also a 100 year old house that was used as a rental property for decades, so…she needs some work. Luckily we are both pretty handy. We were also forced, as part of our purchase agreement to hire a handyman, and he’s fucking terrible, but that is neither here nor there. Slowly but surely this whole thing is coming together for us.

What will be:

With that being said, I do plan to resume a review schedule, although at least for the foreseeable future I’m looking at posting once a week instead of 2. But I will be posting regularly, I promise. I’m alive, the website is alive – we’re all alive!

To those of you have stuck around through this epic shitshow, I appreciate you so, so much. To those that didn’t, I don’t even know who you are, so I’m probably going to just continue to not know you exist, k?

Anyway, expect to see updates/reviews/blah, blah here regularly again starting today.
