Obviously I enjoy both reading and watching movies. My favorite book genres seem to change fairly regularly, but the ones I always fall back on seem to be science fiction, fantasy, horror, true crime and thrillers – I know, that’s still a pretty substantial number of over-arching genres. What can I say, but that I’d read just about everything if given half the chance…
I also love movies. Particularly horror, cheese, and mindless action. Again, it pretty much runs the gamut. Ask me about my favorites!
And if it helps lend any credibility to my writing, please know that I have a Bachelor’s in English and Writing, and I’m currently working on my first article that I plan to submit for publication to a scholarly journal. And if it doesn’t lend credibility, can you please still let me shout this from the rooftops for a while? I just got the degree this week, and honestly, I’ve worked my ass off for it – not to mention piled up a truly terrifying amount of student loan debt that I’m well aware an English/Writing degree is probably not going to help pay for. I can’t stop/won’t stop mentioning it because my superstitious mind fears that if I do, the debt-monster will suck me into it’s gross insidey-parts, The Blob-style. So, prepare yourself to be occasionally reminded that although I majored in this, I’m still self-conscious enough to be doing this shit for free.
Anyway, I’m here for the potential discussions, so if you read something that you have some thoughts on, please feel free to leave a comment. Just don’t drop a line just to be an asshole, okay? I have no time for that business. But if you have something worthwhile to say, even if it is challenging (ooh, especially if it is!), leave a comment!
Also, a note about my pictures (for posterity) – any pictures not taken by me are either free-use photos (primarily from https://www.pexels.com/ or pixabay.com at the moment), credited to their source (in the case of author photos – usually from their sites, but I’ll let you know), film stills from IMDB, or book covers provided by the publisher. If I ever fail to credit something, I swear, it’s not out of malice or ill-intentions – I probably just forgot. But I am trying.
